LOCATION(S): Flexible - you can be based in any of our hub locations - Leeds, Cardiff, Bristol, Belfast, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Birmingham and Sheffield

HOURS: Full time

WORKING PATTERN: Hybrid, 40% (or two days) in an office site. Travel across the UK is also required.

About this opportunity

This is a fantastic opportunity to lead within the largest Multi-Channel Direct Mortgage and Protection Adviser teams in banking, supporting c100k customers, and lending in excess of 5bn p.a, acting as a brand ambassador for the largest mortgage provider in the UK.

Home sits right at the core of the Group and Brand strategy, we have ambitions to grow our Relationship Home business, and this is a brilliant opportunity to lead a key part of the Home business to deliver on our exciting growth ambitions.

As the Home Lead for Halifax, you'll be a brand ambassador for the Halifax Direct Home business. In this role you'll lead a team of experienced Heads of Home to inspire, motivate and coach Mortgage and Protection Managers and Advisers to deliver service excellence to our customers.

Key responsibilities in this role:

  • Accountability for Commercial Performance, Customer Experience and Risk & Conduct across the Halifax Home Business
  • Play an active role in the Home Senior Leadership Team and Customer Engagement Extended LT to help realise our priorities of meeting more customer needs, building customer centric teams and building a world class personalised app
  • Inspire, motivate and coach your team of c800 colleagues to deliver customer's Mortgage & Protection needs, with fair outcomes in line with Risk and conduct
  • Promote a culture passionate about customer experience; supporting colleagues to perform at their best to ensure our customers receive advice, products and service based on their individual needs
  • Demonstrate a drive for continuous improvement; influencing customer journey, product & propositional enhancements

This role reports into the Home Director in Consumer Relationships.

  • You'll have extensive experience in a customer facing environment. You'll provide an exceptional customer experience, and lead teams to resolve customer problems effectively; using a customer first lens to understand and listen to them, supporting their banking needs in a multidisciplinary way.
  • A visible leader with experience of business transformation, with a track record of creating an inclusive environment. You'll drive and manage performance whilst creating an inclusive environment for colleagues to thrive in.
  • Inspires others by gaining followership and commitment to future action through personal integrity and collaboration, demonstrating an inclusive approach. Coaches to go faster by demonstrating commitment to create an environment that builds teams with skills aligned to our Group Strategy and Purpose creating new and better ways for the organisation to change at pace.
