Summary

Consultant Psychiatrist in CAMHS with the county Children Looked after and Adoption team. This post is for the CAMHS county Children Looked after and Adoption team in Nottinghamshire.

This is a full-time post in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. It is an expanded post following the growth of the team and a previous colleague doing it within a split role.

The Consultant is employed by Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust and will join three inpatient consultants, five community CAMHS consultants, seven specialist CAMHS Consultants and two Academic Consultants in the CAMHS service.

This is a full-time post based in Nottinghamshire. The service has been established for many years and has a comprehensive treatment programme but there are opportunities for further development of the service. The caseload will be between 10-30, depending on current team caseload. The team receive an average of 15 new referrals per month- fluctuating between 5-20 in a single calendar month. The Consultant would not be involved with all cases and involvement would be following MDT discussion and agreement around the need for involvement. Young people open to the team will typically have a care coordinator and/or therapist in addition to consultant support where medical involvement is required. It is likely that there will be a 10% new patients to 90% ongoing patients split.
