Cotgrave Candleby Lane School is looking to appoint an experienced SENCO (2 days per week) to provide high quality, supportive SEND leadership in our school to cover the maternity leave of our current SENCO. We are proud of the SEND provision, ethos and culture in our school where have high expectations for all of our children and overcome barriers to learning. You would be joining an exceptional and supportive team of professionals, who are relentless in our pursuit of excellence and our mission to make every day count for the children. Each of our individual roles has an impact on the future of our children and, so, we put them at the heart of the decisions we make and the services we provide. As SENCO, you will be supported by a strong SLT and Family Support Worker to ensure our SEND provision is meeting the needs of our children and allowing them to thrive and achieve.

Cotgrave Candleby Lane School, is part of The Flying High Partnership which consists of two distinct parts: Flying High Trust and Flying High Futures. Flying High Trust is a Multi Academy Trust of 30 primary schools across Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire and Nottingham City. Our Flying High family work hard to deliver the best possible opportunities to our children. Through this partnership we are proud of our achievements and are recognised as one of the highest performing Multi Academy Trusts (MAT) in the country. Flying High Futures provides professional learning internally for staff across the Trust, and externally through Department for Education national programmes. Forming part of Flying High Futures is the Flying High Teaching School Hub, Flying High English Hub, and the Flying High cohort of Inspiring Leaders teacher training.

We are looking for someone who will:

Be relentless in your pursuit to provide an excellent education for all, whilst shaping an inclusive culture within the school.
Ensure that the SEND provision meets the needs of all children across the school, whilst modelling this in your own practice.
Be responsible for developing effective systems and processes in line with partnership best practice, training and supporting staff and liaising with parents, children, and external agencies.
Assist the Head Teacher as part of the Leadership Team in the management and development of the school.
Fulfil the responsibilities and duties of a SENCO
Play a wider role in school life to help us make our school the best it can be
