Summary
Working with patients to identify occupational therapy goals as part of the overall care plan. Planning and implementing individual and/or group interventions, in collaboration with the patient, using graded activity to achieve therapeutic goals. Monitoring and evaluating treatment in order to measure progress and ensure effectiveness of the intervention. Ensure that up to date electronic records and activity data are maintained in accordance with professional and Newbridge House Policy. Delegate work as appropriate to Occupational Therapy team, monitor, review and provide additional support and training as required Provide clinical supervision to junior colleagues, or delegate appropriately to experienced senior Occupational Therapists. Undertake annual appraisals with junior colleagues, or delegate appropriately to experienced senior Occupational Therapists. Understand and exercise a personal duty of care for use of resources i.e. clinical and educational materials. Oversee the use of and recording of the OT budget.
