Summary
JOB PURPOSE: This is an application for a scrub nurse. Therefore the main role will involve theatre. Also, to provide a comprehensive excellent ophthalmic service. This will involve undertaking pre-operative assessments, vision testing, visual field testing and using equipment such as auto-refractors and ophthalmic imaging devices. To participate in the assessment of patient care needs and implement and maintain agreed standards of care. To practice and work in accordance with NMC Codes of Practice and The Medical Eye Clinics policies and procedures. To work flexibly as part of a team. They will also be involved in Infection Control, education Mentoring and co-mentoring of qualified and unqualified staff, maintaining and updating own clinical knowledge and skills, Information, administration functions, maintain health records and patient files in line with the Medical Eye Clinic Policy and service delivery and improvement.
