Summary
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to compliment our small team!
The post is within the DASH Simulation team to assist with the expansion of training programmes and to support medical education.
The successful candidate will work closely with the wider education teams. and external stakeholders.
The ideal candidate will have good IM & T skills, a working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and excellent organisational skills.
Team working and customer service skills are essential.
A desire to expand your skills to assist with specialised technologies (such as audio, visual and simulation) would be advantageous to the role.
The core role of the job will be to ensure the efficient and effective running of training courses.
The successful candidate will provide clerical support to the DASH team, take and manage room bookings for DASH and will be the first point of contact for DASH.
The successful candidate will respond to all enquiries in a helpful and appropriate manner and will oversee and maintain resources within
DASH to support clinical courses.
You will assist in room preparation prior to occupation, to include the setting up of equipment and movement of furniture and promote an ethos of high-quality customer service to all users within education settings
We manage three major locality hospitals at North Tyneside, Wansbeck and Hexham, plus a number of smaller community hospitals and clinics
from Tynemouth to Berwick on Tweed, in addition to our state-of-the-art Northumbria Specialist Emergency Care Hospital, the first of its kind in

To support the delivery of Medical and Nursing curriculums within Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust at all Trust sites.
To recruit and build relationships with volunteers, whom support education activities, both in person, via telephone and in writing.
To supervise and provide basic care to volunteers attending for educational activities.
To contribute to the maintenance and development of the medical education volunteer database.
To undertake all clerical duties relating to volunteer patients, e.g. writing correspondence, booking taxi’s, processing patient consent/reconsent documents on the database.
To assist in the ordering, storage, set up/take down of clinical skills equipment and consumables.
To support administrative and teaching staff trustwide.
