Summary

Come and Join the Sense Team! We’ll give you full training to become an excellent Support Worker.

You will join our fantastic South Wales Community Service in Swansea.

The service operates Monday to Friday 10am - 4pm but could include occasional evening/weekend hours depending on individual support.

We are offering an hourly rate from £11.75 with enhanced rates for overtime and annual pay reviews/ rises.

This is a permanent role, with flexible part time hours to suit you from 10hrs per week. We will assess your availability/suitability and pair you with Individual(s) to support, this could be one session a week or 3 sessions a day depending on your availability (will be discussed further at interview).

We are able to be flexible with shifts so would love to discuss your options and hear from you!

Our Community Service supports over 50 individuals with sensory impairments to maintain independence and carry out activities that are important to them. You will work alongside a manager and a dedicated team at Sense to provide support which can include helping clients with their weekly shopping, taking exercise or attending local groups.

You may have cared for a family member in the past, and felt the reward? Or be a genuinely caring person looking to help positively impact an Individual's life?

To be considered for this role we require you to have British Sign Language Skills, a Full UK License with use of your own vehicle and business insurance.

This role might include supporting people with:

Within their home, and within the community.
To provide a customised, responsive and high-quality service to people with multiple sensory impairments, physical and/or learning disabilities who use Sense services.
Everyday tasks like cooking and cleaning.
Finances.
Appointments
Going into the community for shopping or other trips.
Their social life
