Summary

Are you a motivated individual with a passion for supporting those with mental health needs?
We are seeking mental health recovery Support Workers to join our dynamic staff team based in the Idle area of Bradford (BD2 West Yorkshire). As part of this role you will visit service users within their homes, offering both practical and emotional support to enable them to live independently. You will work in accordance with users individual support plans, developing trusting relationships as you engage with the variety of this role.

Support Worker Duties:
• Checking the welfare of the service users across of the services –2 minute walk from one another in Idle BD2.
• Ensuring health and safety compliance, carry out safety checks and raising any concerns.
• Working in a person-centred way to empower the service users
• Prompting independence and developing skills to maintain their independence and manage their tenancies.
• Carrying out monthly key working sessions to set goals and work towards achieving these.
• Communicating with other professionals & community mental health teams.
Our service users are friendly, polite and have brilliant interactions with staff. They would benefit from an enthusiastic individual who has the drive to support our service users to engage and build confidence to achieve their desired goals.
At full capacity there are 10 service users, currently there are 9 service users who enjoy a range of weekly activities, coffee morning, takeaway night, 1 to 1 and group cooking and baking, movie nights and arts and crafts.
The shift pattern for these services is 10:00 TO 20:30, working every other weekend and some bank holidays.
As this is a lone working service, experience working in Mental Health or Health and Social Care is preferred, but is not essential! Equally, qualifications in Health and Social Care are desirable.
