About the role

Are you looking for a teaching role where you have planning time built into your working day and where there is a reduced need to plan from home? If so, the Learning Support Specialist role might be for you.

As this is role follows the academic year, it is largely term time (36 weeks). We will use the additional weeks to support SEND interview evenings which happen across the academic year. This also includes supporting the exciting enrolment process where you will have the opportunity to talk to new students and share the outstanding provisions we offer.

We are looking for a proactive and caring professional to provide 1:1 or small group study skills support to learners with specific learning difficulties such as dyslexia, dyspraxia and autistic spectrum, supporting their literacy, numeracy, organisational skills etc. Candidate must hold a Level 5 teaching qualification (PGCE, Certificate in Education or equivalent)

You will be working as part of an outstanding cross-college team of Learning Support Specialists, in-class Learning Assistants and SpLD Assessors. These roles will require you to work closely with Tutors and Subject Lecturers to help our students succeed in their main programme of study.
