Summary
We are looking to recruit a Night Manager, hours are 8.5 per night on a 4 nights on and 4 nights off rota basis.
YHA Cambridge is one of YHA’s oldest and best-loved hostels, providing superb, modern accommodation for those looking to explore the historic city of Cambridge. The youth hostel is in a prime location, only three minutes’ walk from the train station so easily accessible. YHA Cambridge is a vibrant hostel with a bustling cafe-bar. We are looking for a dynamic, hard-working Manager with some experience and excellent customer service skills who thrives in a busy international environment. You will need to show initiative and a passion for customer service.

What Skills and Experience do you need to be a Night Manager?
Our Night Manager role requires flexibility to cover different tasks & responsibilities. It’s an advantage but not essential to have previously worked in a face-to-face role with customers. Experience in hospitality or customer service is desirable.
Duties vary so good communication skills, excellent timekeeping and basic IT skills are advantages.
Knowledge and understanding of YHA’s core purpose and experience of working in a team would also be beneficial.
What will you be doing as Night Manager?
Our Night Managers are responsible for ensuring the quality of service is maintained throughout the night, delivering excellent service to all of our guests and giving them a great experience with YHA.
Your day-to-day duties may include:
Directing and supporting team members working on reception
Resolving difficult situations and emergencies in a professional and efficient manner
Ensuring the security of the hostel
Responsible service of alcohol
Ensuring regular hostel inspections
Carrying out cleaning duties
Preparing for breakfast service
