Senior Veterinary Surgeon
Bath
Purosearch has an excellent opportunity for a Veterinary Surgeon with experience who would like to take their career to the next level. My client is looking for someone who is driven and committed and is willing and able to support and mentor the Vet teams at my clients two practices.
Both practices are located close to Bath in delightful towns which boast many charming cafés and local delights. Easily accessible form the M4 and close to Bath, Bristol, and Chippenham.
The Practice:
You will be joining a team of highly experienced Veterinary Surgeons who have vast experience and knowledge. You will be supported by a committed and friendly team of HVV/RVN and support staff. The practices are accredited by the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons Practice Standards Scheme, so you can be sure that my client works to high standards of care and protection for their clients. The practices have excellent facilities which include:
Facilities:
• Digital X-Ray
• Dental X-ray
• Ultrasound
• Laparoscopy
• In house lab
• Referrals
• Two operating theatres and three consultation rooms
The Candidate:
This role would suit a vet with proven experience who will support and mentor the Vet team across the two-practice group. You will lead the clinical meetings; consider how they can grow and improve the practice and team. Along with the practice manager, you be responsible for delivery of key strategic and commercial objectives.
The Role:
• 40hrs a week over four days, with the same day off every week.
• Working shifts from 8.30 - 18.30 and will require being included in the inpatient on-call rota, with less than 1 weeknight per week on duty.
• 1 in 8 full weekends - Consult only Saturday 9.00 - 17.00, Sunday 10.00 - 16.00
• 1 in 8 Saturdays - Consult only Saturday 9.00 - 17.00
• Part-time applicants will be considered.
The Package:
• Salary of up to £55,000 per annum DOE
• Up to 7 weeks annual leave (pro rata)
• Funding towards a certificate of your interest
• RCVS, VDS and CPD paid
• Attractive bonus scheme
