We present an exciting opportunity for a Night Veterinary Surgeon to become part of a well-established, RCVS accredited, independent mixed animal practice located in the picturesque setting of Guernsey.

Guernsey, situated in the English Channel near the French coast, is a self-governing British Crown dependency renowned for its stunning beach resorts such as Cobo Bay and the breath taking coastal cliffs. The capital, St. Peter Port, boasts the historic Castle Cornet, a 13th-century harbour fortification housing captivating history and military museums.

Our esteemed client has proudly served the island for over a century, forging strong client relationships and an outstanding reputation. They are actively seeking a Night Vet to enhance their team, primarily focusing on small animal care, but welcoming applicants with large animal experience.

The practice has recently undergone extensive renovations, equipping it with a state-of-the-art operating theatre, a Special Procedures room featuring cutting-edge computerised digital x-radiography, ultrasound scanning, and endoscopy equipment, alongside a customised dental suite. Their diagnostic laboratory swiftly handles a wide range of common blood, skin, urine, and other tests, with results typically available within hours. Moreover, the practice boasts a top-of-the-line C.T. Scanning unit and a veterinary hydrotherapy/rehabilitation unit.

Joining their ranks means becoming part of a highly skilled veterinary team, including certificate holders in Small Animal Surgery, Advanced Veterinary Practice in Equine Dentistry, and Advanced Veterinary Practice specialising in small animal surgery.

The ideal candidate should exude confidence in their work, possess experience with small animals, and demonstrate the ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team. Enthusiasm and a supportive attitude are key attributes our client is looking for.
