Our client is seeking an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join their well-established, RCVS accredited small animal hospital in Southampton. Located in the picturesque New Forest National Park, their hospital provides an ideal setting for those who appreciate outdoor activities such as equestrian pursuits, cycling, sailing, and walking. Beautiful beaches, ancient woodlands, and diverse wildlife surround the area, offering a perfect balance of work and leisure. Surprisingly, the bustling city of London is just 90 minutes away by train.

Recognising the importance of both comprehensive patient care and individual team member well-being, they have crafted a unique role within the veterinary team. This position empowers you with clinical freedom and flexibility to develop your skills during regular working hours, all while being part of a large and supportive team of Vets and Nurses. Additionally, you'll enjoy a structured work pattern with a regular 7 days off following the out-of-hours shift pattern.

Their dedicated team comprises 12 FTE small animal vets and 22 VNs, with numerous certificate/diploma holders. They prioritise providing the best clinical care to patients and support their team with the necessary clinical freedom, state-of-the-art equipment, continuous professional development, and overall job satisfaction.

The hospital boasts excellent facilities, featuring modern equipment such as an in-house laboratory, X-ray, ultrasound, endoscope, digital X-ray, dentistry tools, and more.

The Rota:
• Full Time role
• Repeating 3 or 6 week pattern, with 1 week of nights every 3 or 6 weeks; a week off after the nights; then either 1 week or 4 weeks of normal day work
• OOH for own clients only which means the case load is not too heavy
• 15 minute consults
