Our client is a provider of services for adults with Learning Disabilities. They are committed to delivering high-quality support to ensure enriched, fulfilled, and happy lives for their service users. As a Senior Support Worker, you will play a crucial role in providing person-centred care and support to adults with Learning Disabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

    • Provide person-centred support and care to individuals with Learning Disabilities.
    • Administer medication to individuals as prescribed.
    • Develop and implement individual care plans, ensuring regular reviews and updates.
    • Maintain professional boundaries and adhere to ethical standards.
    • Establish effective communication with service users, families, and professionals.
    • Assist individuals with daily living activities, including personal care and meal preparation.
    • Support individuals in accessing community resources and activities.
    • Monitor and record the progress and well-being of service users.
    • Respond to emergencies and incidents following established protocols.
    • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality care delivery.

    Required Qualifications:

    • Full UK driving licence
    • Minimum of 1-year care experience

    Experience:

    • Minimum of 1-year experience in a care role
    • Experience working with adults with Learning Disabilities is highly desirable

    Knowledge and Skills:

    • Proficient in administering medication
    • Ability to create and implement person-centred care plans
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Reliability and flexibility in working hours
    • Strong problem-solving skills

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Higher-level qualifications in Health and Social Care
    • Additional training in specialised areas such as epilepsy management, autism awareness, or challenging behaviour management

    Working Conditions:

    • Primarily residential setting for adults with Learning Disabilities
    • May require evening, weekend, and on-call shifts
    • Physical stamina and ability to assist with personal care tasks
    • Exposure to challenging behaviours and potentially emotionally demanding situations
