Summary

Job Opportunity: Learning Mentor (SEMH Provision)

We're seeking a dedicated Learning Mentor to join our team, working within a supportive SEMH provision in Plymouth. This role, starting June 2024, offers full-time hours from Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 3:30 pm.

As a Learning Mentor, you'll be instrumental in supporting young people facing medical or mental health challenges, providing them with the care and guidance they need to thrive in an educational setting. You'll play a pivotal role in boosting their self-esteem, fostering a safe, nurturing environment, and empowering them to achieve success.

Responsibilities:
- Tailor lessons and teaching materials to suit the individual needs and working levels of the students.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively, ensuring a conducive learning environment.
- Motivate and encourage all pupils to actively engage with the learning process.

Requirements:
- Demonstrated compassion and empathy towards young people facing challenges.
- Possess a calm and adaptable personality to handle various situations effectively.
- High emotional resilience to cope with the demands of the role.
- Previous experience in nursing, mental health work, or youth work is advantageous.
- Level 3 Driver qualification is required.
