Summary

Job title: Personal Assistant

Hours of work: 10 hours to be worked over two days – these days are flexible.
Rate of pay: £12.75


I am a 53-year-old man who is looking to employ a Personal Assistant funded through the Direct Payments scheme. My Personal Assistant will support me over two days. Each of the two days will include 3 hours (approx 9am-12pm), teatime for 1 hour, and at bedtime for 1 hour (approx 8:30pm-9:30pm or 9:00pm-10:00pm). Hours of work can be worked flexibly as required and agreed in advance.

It is important to me that you can travel within or to and from Blaen Garw and are aware that the hours are spread over the day.

Main Duties:

• General help around the house, including light housework.
• Support and encourage with activities of interest.
• Always ensure my safety during your working period.
• Support with personal care – dressing/undressing, personal hygiene
• Support with meal preparation
• Support with medication
• Liaise with second PA – leave messages/updates/share queries.
• Build a working relationship with me and engage in conversations.
• Local to the area would be beneficial.
• Support and encourage with independent living skills.
• To carry out any other reasonable requests that I may make from time to time.

• Access to vehicle if travelling from outside of the area.


Benefits
5.6 weeks holiday per year (pro rata).
Sick pay at SSP rate if earning £120.00 or more per week.
Training provided to support you in your role.
