Summary

The Woodshed Forest School Nursery is an outdoor provision where children are able to lead their own play in 65 acres of semi ancient woodland.

At the Woodshed Forest School Nursery, we know what it takes to enhance children's holistic development. Our unique approach to learning and magical woodland site makes The Woodshed more than just a physical Nursery School - it’s a life experience.

Our woodland site provides a calm, wild and free space where children learn to self-regulate, self-motivate, empathise, socialise, be confident and develop all-round emotional intelligence.

At our last Ofsted inspection, we were asked what behavioural strategies we have in place. Our answer was 'nothing'. Being outside in the woods has an extraordinary impact on physical and mental health and reconnects us to the natural world.
