Main duties include:
- Read and interpret construction blueprints and diagrams to determine the specifications and materials required for the project.
- Measure, cut, and shape bricks, concrete blocks, and other types of building stones using various tools.
- Lay bricks, blocks, and stones according to construction plans and specifications.
- Apply and smooth mortar using trowels and other hand tools to secure bricks and create a clean, even surface.
- Construct and repair walls, foundations, partitions, arches, and other structures.
- Ensure structures are level and aligned using levels, squares, and plumb bobs.
- Repair and maintain brick and masonry structures.
Skills and Education:
- Proven experience as a Bricklayer.
- Strong understanding of construction, materials, and tools involved in bricklaying.
- Ability to read and follow blueprints and diagrams.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for client interactions.
