Summary

BSC specialises in the design and manufacture of custom RF and Microwave Interdigital, Combline, Waveguide, Cavity, Lumped Element, Thin Film, and Microstrip filter based products and solutions for the Defence and Space Industries

Due to promotion and growth within the BSC Engineering team, we are
now recruiting an RF ENGINEER to join our team. In this key position, you’ll take
an active role in the design and development of the latest RF products, connecting
and protecting others around the globe and in space.

Your responsibilities include a range of activities from preparing customer quotes, detailed design through to prototype development of RF subsystems. Every day will be different and your practical and hands-on approach will have you turning the theory into the possible. Using your knowledge and working within the engineering team to develop a sellable product with focus on maintaining performance, quality, cost, safety, reliability, timeliness.

You’re also logical, result focussed, with a high attention to detail, an enquiring mind and a want to continually improve both our products and yourself.

To be successful, you’ll have or be working towards the following:
 A degree in electronics or electrical engineering.

 Knowledge And Experience in the following:
 RF filter and Microwave module design. Supporting circuitry, impedance
matching, evaluating performance trade-offs and analysis

 RF and Microwave technology and techniques: from HF through to 20GHz
(extending to 40GHz+) - typically, but not limited to;
 Passive RF design of; Filters, couplers, power dividers.
 Active RF design experience of Amplifiers, Switches, Mixers, Detectors,
Oscillators, PLL/DDS

 Software modelling using EM software and test activities in engineering
design.
 Leading & contributing to technical reviews and discussions.
 Working in a team environment to complete projects.
 Researching topics, writing reports & making recommendations.
