Summary

We have a great opportunity for a Registered Care Home Manager to manage Brook House Residential Care Home situated in Cambridge’s historic city centre, currently rated ‘GOOD’ by CQC. Brook House Care Home is a small, friendly care home with a bright, welcoming setting. If you are an experienced Deputy Manager or Unit Manager looking for your next career move, this could be your next move.

As the Care Home Manager, you would be responsible for 35 bedrooms (many with garden views), arranged over two floors. Brook House offers residential, dementia, end of life and respite care. You would have an internal team including a Deputy Manager, Home Administrator and Ancillary teams as well as the Regional Operations Director and Regional Team to support and work alongside you. £35 - £38k per annum Pro rata (based on 45 hours per week) Monday – Friday

About You:

  • Experienced within a nursing/care home setting for older people.
  • Experience supervising/leading a team.
  • Level 5 management in Health & Social Care, working towards or planning to study
  • Knowledge and working practice of CQC Regulations and legislation
  • Excellent organisations and planning skills.
  • Strong communication skills and relationship building with internal and external stakeholders
  • Development and supervision of staff teams
  • Experience with rostering and staffing levels – controlling agency use and budgets.
