Summary

Are you an experienced EHS Manager? Do you have experience in providing direction to the delivery of EHS support/services in a multi-site, multi-division operation to ensure that business objectives are met? If so, we are keen to speak with individuals like you!

We are recruiting for a Commercial EHS Manager to act as the EHS primary interface for our clients various sites as appropriate and advise them of necessary activities adhering to UK Law, HSE regulations and EHS matters including, but not limited to, audits, global corporate initiatives, EHS awards, corporate metrics.

The successful candidate will be joining our clients Maidenhead site, working 37.5 hours a week Monday to Friday. You will need to be able to travel to our clients' other sites often, including Sittingbourne once a month. This position is offered on a contract basis for 12 months initially.

Responsibilities:

  • Collates EHS data for UK Commercial divisions and uploads into corporate systems in a timely way, ensuring accuracy of data.
  • Understands and analyses EHS Strategy and translates into meaningful strategies and goals for commercial divisions including the Maidenhead, Solihull and Sittingbourne warehouse facility.
  • Acts as primary interface for the UK Business Advisory Council on all matters pertaining to EHS including but not limited to, strategic plans, management responsibility, notification and responses to Serious Event & KPI Performance.
  • Manages Fleet Safety through the establishment and monitoring of appropriate KPIs, responding to poor performance through the identification of appropriate actions and improvements.
  • Acts a primary contact for internal and external EHS Audits including response to audit requests, audit logistics and overseeing responses to any observations as a result of an audit. Identifies internal audit activities to ensure that all sites remain audit-ready at all times.
  • Advises UK Sites on all aspects of EHS considerations in respect of product and equipment development.
  • Maintains the effectiveness of the Quality System at the UK Commercial sites in accordance with divisional and corporate requirements and all applicable regulations.

Experience & Qualifications:

  • Educated to degree level in EHS or related discipline and/or significant EHS experience.
  • IOSH / NEBOSH.
  • Environmental Science/Occupational Health and Safety Management.
  • EHS Experience at EHS Advisor Level within a Manufacturing or Commercial environment.
  • Working with cross functional teams including some senior executive interactions.
  • Experience of Excel, Word and PowerPoint systems in order to manage a variety of data sources and then present those at all levels within the organisation.
