Clinical Trainer

As Clinical Trainer, you will be responsible for shaping and delivering new entrant and continuous professional development training programs for health professionals, allied health professionals and other clinical personnel.
You will support the transition of knowledge and skills from traditional healthcare to gaining the foundations of functional assessments to ensure the clinician gains approval with the DWP and the delivery of high-quality customer interactions and reports.
Your main responsibilities:

- Create and update training materials, manuals, and curricula based on DWP guidelines, industry standards, best practices, and regulatory requirements.
- Utilise various instructional methods, including lectures, hands-on training, case studies, and simulations.
- Assess the clinical skills and competencies of healthcare professionals through observation, evaluations, and simulations.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, subject matter experts, and department leaders to identify training needs and develop targeted programs.
- Incorporate technology and e-learning tools to enhance the effectiveness of training programs.
- Stay abreast of advancements in healthcare technology and integrate them into training initiatives when appropriate.
- Expert user of DWP proprietary IT platform.
- Collaborate with DWP and other stakeholders on training outcomes and initiatives for development of the programmes.

What you’ll need to do the role:

- Minimum 12 month’s experience as a Health Care Professional (nurse, doctor, paramedic, OT or PT) with the DWP in PIP.
- Accreditation and approved status as an HP with the DWP for PIP.
- Post Graduate Diploma Education or equivalent.
- GMC/ HCPC / NMC registered with no restrictions to practise & a proven record of relevant Continual Professional Development (CPD) and revalidation.
- Minimum 12 months operational experience as a DWP approved Clinical Trainer, with working knowledge of DWP benefits such as PIP.
- A background in clinical education and mentorship with knowledge of healthcare regulations and accreditation standards
- Prior experience in healthcare training, coaching, and mentoring
- A keen eye for detail and accuracy
