Discovery is seeking compassionate and enthusiastic Support Workers to positively impact the lives of individuals we support. Our focus is on empowering independence and fostering fulfillment for the people we support with learning disabilities and/or autism.

Location: Yeovil, situated in a purpose-built residential care home surrounded by beautiful gardens.

Who We Support: Our residents, aged between their 30s and 50s, are eager to welcome both newcomers and experienced individuals into our team. We offer flexible full-time and part-time positions.

Activities You'll Be Part Of:

- Exploring Nature: Enjoy walks, duck feeding, and picnics at Nine Springs Park.

- Sensory Activities: Engage in stimulating activities in our sensory room, featuring a ball pit, sensory lights, and musical instruments.

- Cooking and Baking: Dive into culinary adventures as we love experimenting with food!

- Cultural Outings: Join us for trips to the theater, concerts, cinema, and other exciting events.

- Communication: Some residents communicate through pictures and objects, which we'll teach you to understand.

- Mobility: While some use wheelchairs, it doesn't hinder their desire to explore. Help us plan memorable outings, like our recent visit to Haynes Motor Museum.

Your Role: As a Support Worker, you'll assist with various day-to-day tasks, including finances, shopping, cooking, and personal care.
