Summary

At Discovery we are looking for committed Support Workers to join our team.

The lady we support is in her 60's. She is independently mobile and is looking for Support Workers who will help her fulfil her life and get involved in activities with her.

The things she loves and that are important to her:

- Her arts and crafts. She'd specifically like it if you like making hats as much as she does

- Listening to her favourite CD's including her go to favourites Abba

- Taking her to the local garden centre or farm shop for a look around and a coffee

- Playing pairs and other card games. Board games go down well too

- Enabling independence by assisting with day-to-day tasks (which include - but are not limited to - finances, shopping, cooking & personal care)

The other thing that this lady would like you to know is that she likes a routine. As long as you are patient with her and happy to work to a routine you will get on brilliantly.

Discovery is proud to be successfully accredited by the Great Places To Work Programme for the forth year in row in 2024.

Why join us?

- Full-time or part-time contracts available

- £12.37 per hour

- 30 days annual leave (including bank holidays)

- Supported 'Learn to Drive' scheme (up to 30 driving lessons, 1 theory/practical test - all paid for by us)

- We offer a salary advance scheme where you can access up to 50% of the money you've earned before payday.

- A 24 Hour Employee Assistance Programme for you and your family members.

- Life Assurance and Pension scheme

- Great Induction and training opportunities including the Care Certificate, and Diploma in Health & Social Care.
