More detail about the role: You will be greeting the patients and assisting with weight and observations monitoring, making patients comfortable before and during their haemodialysis session. You will be supporting the registered nurses in the team by restocking the unit and gathering equipment needed to perform dialysis treatments. You will be removing dialysis lines from the machines, cleaning machines and dialysis station between patients. The role occasionally involves assisting the patients with some personal care. You will also be taught some of the machines functions so that you can set up ready for dialysis and the safe removal and disposal of dialysis needles You will also be making patients drinks and occasionally assist with nutrition as directed by the registered nurse. Working Pattern: The shifts are a combination of Earlies 7:30 - 13:30 and Lates 16:30 - 22:30 You will be rostered 4 days between Monday and Saturday (usually 2 out of 3 Saturdays) Depending on your shift pattern and working hours, you may also receive additional enhancements to your pay.
