Our Support Workers work in a variety of settings including community-based services (often supporting people in their own homes) to our Treatment & Recovery Centres.
One thing that is common across all of our services is a focus on personalised support and tailoring our services to the needs and aspirations of the people we support with a diverse range of care needs (including Learning Disabilities, Physical Disabilities, Mental Health Concerns, Complex Care, Substance Misuse issues to name a few).

We don’t ask for any other relevant training or a previous career in care as full training will be provided – you just need a willingness to learn and develop.
Your pay - our Support Workers receive a rate of £12.00 per hour for all worked hours. Once you are successful for a role with us, full details of your pay will be included in your written offer.

Where is this vacancy based?
This vacancy is based in Crewe.
Who do you support?
We support two gentleman who like a busy and active lifestyle, both enjoy long walks in the country side and visiting beaches and trails.
Both gentlemen have learning disabilities, autism, along with polydipsia and Pica needs.
Both gentlemen are nonverbal and communicate through the use of pictures and gestures.
Support with personal hygiene routines along with shaving and dressing is required.
Where do they live?
This is a large property with 4 bedrooms however at the moment only two gentleman live here.
This is local to Crewe just a short walk from local shops and local amenities. The property is a short drive away from Nantwich Town Centre.
What would a typical shift be like?
At the start of the shift, you are required to support with personal care routines and with breakfast.
One gentleman requires patience and gentle prompts with eating before completing laundry and cleaning tasks.
Both gents the enjoy the day engaging in activities of their choice, occasionally together as a house but mostly individually.
One gentleman requires 2-1 support when in the community due to pica and behaviors.
Once the days activities are completed, the gents like to relax in their lounge or activity room and watch tv or engage in a jig saw.
You will make the tea while being helped by the other gentleman supported if he wishes to take part and then hand over to the sleep-in shift.
What activities do the people that we support at this property like to do?
The gentlemen are very active, enjoying long walks along the trails/salt lines or visiting the sea side.
Both enjoy drives in the car and meals out to the pub for a pint or the local disco.
Both have good relationships with family so they also visit regularly. One individual enjoys baking activities while the other enjoys jigsaws and playing catch.
Are there any skills or interests that a candidate could have that would be great to use to support this service?
Organisational skills, patience and empathy.
Basic cooking skills and if you can bake, the gents would be pleased.
We have mobility cars so ideally we would like someone who can drive.
What is the team here or is it lone-working?
You will be part of a team who will hep you to settle in and learn new skills.
You will work as a team during the day and on occasion lone work, the sleep-in shift during the night is lone working.
What are your shift patterns?
7:00am-22:00pm 7:00am-14:30pm 14:30pm-22:00pm 9:00am-17:00 12:00pm-16:00pm sleep in is 22:00-7:00am
