Summary

Employing over two hundred staff, across various sites, and catering for students, events and holiday makers, our client operates a large catering operation where the emphasis is on efficiently providing exceptional food.

An opportunity has become available for a Chef Manager to take charge of one of the kitchen hubs based at either Casterton or Sedbergh in Cumbria.

The role is permanent, full time, and live-in (within a nice, shared house) is available for only £300 per month.

Your new job:

Management of the kitchen and catering team.
Food preparation and cooking.
Monitor expenditure (including labour) and work to agreed budgets.
Monitor food budgets and food spend.
Create thoughtfully produced menus.
Provide the highest quality service.
Ensure highest standards of food safety are maintained.
Health and safety management.
Administration and rotas.
And a whole lot more! There is plenty of variety in this role, although, cooking takes priority at service times!

About you:

Kitchen and people management background.
A motivated and enthusiastic individual.
Team management leadership experience.
Experience within quality catering establishments.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Understanding of budgets.
