The sport and leisure team at Chesterfield Borough Council are looking to recruit friendly, outgoing people to work as receptionists in both its sports centres to meet the needs of customers and assist them when attending their activities.

Candidates will be responsible for welcoming visitors to its busy modern leisure facilities, therefore must have experience of dealing with the public face to face and over the telephone in a pleasant and courteous manner, particularly when under pressure. An understanding of excellent customer care is needed and the relevance of it to the service that is supplied at the sports centres.

We are interested in applications that can evidence ability to work in busy environments and deal with a variety of enquiries from customers. It is essential that candidates can work with various computer software packages and adapt to others.

We have 5 part time vacancies available: x1 post at 12 hours and 55 minutes over a 3-week rota, x1 post at 10 hours and 35 minutes over a 3-week rota, x1 post at 11 hours over a 3-week rota, and x2 posts at 6 hours and 45 minutes over a 3-week rota. Candidates must be prepared and able to work unsocial and additional hours to cover for other staff absence, particularly at weekends, and be able to be work at short notice if necessary.
