About the role

In the department of Carpentry and Joinery we are looking to appoint a motivated carpenter and joiner to join the outstanding team. The successful candidate will join a team of specialists in their own subject areas to provide an exceptional service to our learners through high quality teaching, learning and assessment. They will manage a cohort of learners and support all learners within the faculty to achieve highly. Other duties include:
– Undertaking admin duties relating to curriculum.
– Setting academic targets.
– Taking part in events such as taster days, open events and curriculum enrolment.
– Supporting in achievement of all learners through higher grade workshops.
– Ensuring learners are work ready and support progression to higher level study.
– Supporting the enhancement of the department and provisions.

About the person

The successful candidate will have a minimum Level 3 Carpentry and Joinery related qualification and experience of teaching carpentry and joinery to level 3 preferred and with a recognised teaching qualification although, candidates with good industry experience will also considered. An assessors award is desirable although not essential.
