Package: £34,900- £41,090 DOE with excellent benefits including 25 holiday days (plus your birthday off) private medical

We are flexible on the location of this role, it can be based remotely within the UK, hybrid or based within our Amesbury office.




What you`ll get up to as a Data Protection Specialist

To give you an idea what to expect, you`ll be:




You will support the Group DPO in all areas of the accountability framework across the various pet care and insurance companies in
the Pinnacle Pet Group which will include:




* Data mapping and maintaining the Record of Processing Activity
* Following a Privacy by Design approach in the completion of privacy threshold analysis, DPIAs and other privacy risk
assessments
* Ensuring all data sharing is undertaken in accordance with GDPR: reviewing supplier contracts and implementing supplementary
measures to ensure personal data is protected for third country transfer.
* Developing and implementing data protection and ePrivacy training for employees across the group.
* Assisting with the development of privacy policies and procedures including Records Management.
* Providing advice and guidance to Sales and Digital Marketing teams on consent management and ePrivacy regulations
* Administering data subject requests
* Managing and monitoring data incidents and personal data breaches
* Producing reporting on key performance areas to evidence data protection compliance




What we look for in you

* Experience of supporting with data protection activities within a regulated organisation or professional services company.
* Knowledge of UK data protection laws (UK GDPR, Data Protection Act) and practices.
* Ability to handle confidential information.
* A self-starter with proven ability to work to a high standard, with minimal supervision when attending meetings and with an eye
for detail, supporting on projects and a range of varied data protection related issues simultaneously.
* Ability to identify any compliance gaps and problems, undertake analysis, challenge poor practices diplomatically and make
effective recommendations through pragmatic solutions.
* Experience in supporting effective data protection training skills and excellent written and oral communication skills.
* Ability to quickly establish personal credibility and to develop and maintain effective stakeholder’s relationships, including
working with people with differing perspectives and agendas.
* High degree of IT literacy, with excellent experience of using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint). Excellent
document and formatting skills for reporting.
* Accredited qualification such as a professional diploma in data protection and governance or hold at least one Data Protection
and/or Privacy certification such as, CIPP, CIPT, ISEB/BCS would be beneficial
