JOB DESCRIPTION
Personal Assistant
A LITTLE ABOUT MYSELF
Female adult living in the Splott area looking for PA’s. To support with managing personal care, getting dressed and remind to take medication.
I need support to take me out, I like to go into town with my service dog to
Do shopping and purchase necessary grocery items and things that I need.
I have a brain injury, sight impairment and mobility difficulties.
I will need encouragement to participate in as much as I can do.
PURPOSE OF JOB
To provide support taking me out to do shopping, meal preparation, accessing
Community.
HOURS OF WORK
7.5 hours per week. 3 days a week on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.
Morning call at 11.30 am – 2pm
RATES OF PAY
£12.70 per hour
TASKS INVOLVED
Taking me out shopping/accessing community
Support with meal prep
Support with appointments
TYPE OF PERSON REQUIRED
· Calm, kind caring warm hearted person
· To be mindful of my brain injury/mobility difficulty as I present myself
· Someone who is flexible, reliable and trustworthy
· Someone who is patient and understands my needs
· Car driver with own vehicle preferred
· Must like animals
ABOUT THE JOB
Though a part-time job, this will be a proper job requiring a National Insurance number to be submitted. A trial period will be necessary in the first instance. The wage will be paid four weekly and appropriate holiday pay given.
The post is subject to satisfactory references and a DBS (Police) Check - which will need to be carried out before employment can commence. The cost of this will be met by the employer (Local Authority).
The relevant checks will be carried out to ensure any applicant has the right to work in the UK.
