Summary


An exciting opportunity has arisen for the challenging but rewarding role of Ward Sister / Charge nurse to join the team on Ward E14.

Ward E14 is a 28 bedded ward that currently cares for surgical patients with primary focus being Colorectal.

The successful applicant will already be a developing inspirational leader with the ability to motivate and develop a team and work with patients to deliver excellence in nursing care. A kind and caring manner in supporting our patients, their families and our dedicated team of staff is vital to this role.

In order to succeed you will have excellent patient care, clinical and managerial skills. You will have experience in a surgical area, or similar environment in the role of Deputy Sister / Charge nurse and recent experience of acute care environments. Excellent communication skills are also essential to this role.

We are seeking an individual who drives high standards of patient –centred care in a challenging environment whilst being approachable and proactive.

You will be self-driven, innovative with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You will also be highly motivated with a desire to provide the highest standards of care, whilst demonstrating clear leadership. You will provide support and supervision of nursing and non-nursing staff; assist in maintaining and monitoring of standards through Nursing Metrics Dashboard, Essence of Care Benchmarks and Trust Infection Control Audits and standards.
