Summary


This post is eligible for a Golden Hello payment of £2,750 for new starters who are external to the Trust. This is payable in 3 instalments over a 2 year period. This payment is only eligible to new starters who do not already hold a contract of employment with the Trust. This post also includes paid enhancements for unsocial hours working during night, weekends and bank holidays.

The Wells Road Centre has five wards offering comprehensive assessment and recovery focussed individualised care and treatment packages for patients who experience a mental health disorder, personality disorder or intellectual disabilities combined with a history of offending behaviour.

We are looking for nurses to join our teams, in a challenging but rewarding role, to help reduce risk and make a difference to the lives of our patients.

Therefore, applicants will need to

the ability to work effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary team
deliver high quality nursing care with a compassionate and caring attitude within a Low Secure setting
be committed and motivated to providing innovative care
promote and maintain high standards of care through excellent communication, motivation, supervision and role modelling

We want to help our staff reach their full potential and are committed to providing the support, skills and development needed to succeed. This includes monthly supervision clinical and managerial a robust preceptorship package, and a band 5-6 development programme.



We are looking for caring and compassionate nurses who work collaboratly with our patients in order to achieve recovery with the end goal of discharge.

We are looking for highly motivated nurses with excellent clinical and communication skills to be part of our teams.

you will be responsible for the safety and security of the patients and ensure that high levels of care are provided and care delivered in accordance with the MDT process and care plans.

To provide a defined level of assessment and access to interventions for a diverse patient group and their families under the care Programme approach, who present with significant mental health problems/disorders.

To provide a realistic timely and occasionally intensive support to patients within an Inpatient setting. To provide education and supervision to junior staff members, peers, and other professionals.


Role Context:
A registered nurse (Mental Health/Learning Disability) with current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC). The role requires a clinician with skills to assess patient’s needs, analyze and develop treatment plans within a multidisciplinary framework.
