Summary

Are you ready to lead a dynamic team of managers, practitioners and professionals on a journey to empower children and young people in Luton? As the Social Work Academy Practice Manager, you'll lead a passionate team dedicated to ensuring the best possible outcomes for our children, young people and families.

Your role will not only involve managing and coaching this team, but also fostering a culture of capability, motivation, proactivity and reflection among social workers and ensuring they gain a comprehensive understanding of their role and responsibilities. Join us in shaping the future of social work practice and making a real difference.

About you
We are looking for someone in the social care field, with a proven track record of making complex decisions in children's social care services.

We need someone who can effectively manage, motivate and develop a social services function, driving high performance and excellence among our dedicated staff.

Strong communication skills are a must as you'll be producing detailed reports and navigating challenging situations to find innovative solutions. You'll have commitment to driving positive change and improvement in practice, as well as addressing underperformance and capability issues.

With your in-depth knowledge and experience of Practice Educator and student management, you'll play a crucial role in shaping the next generation of social work professionals.

We do ask that you have Dip SW, CQSW or recognised equivalent professional social work qualification.
