Summary
Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant or support worker looking for part time or full time roles?
Engage Education are currently seeking SEN Teaching Assistants/ Support Workers to provide support for schools in the local area. You will be working in one of our partnership Primary Schools based in the Bradford and surrounding areas.
The full time and part time positions are to commence ASAP until the end of the academic year. There is the opportunity for a permanent role for the right candidate.
Within the role you will be required to:
• Provide calming and nurturing support for pupils with an EHCP
• Promote good behaviour management strategies
• Support the delivery of lessons to engage and enthuse learners
• Be a positive role model for the children, through commitment to the setting expectations
• Show an interest in the children that you are working with, to build mutually respectful relationships
• Be resilient, not easily offended and able to de-escalate sometimes challenging situations
Skills and attributes:
• Ability to relate well to pupils and young adults with additional needs
• Experience of working within a similar setting (care homes, hospitals etc) would be advantageous
• Ability to remain calm under pressure
• Team Teach qualification desirable
• Experience of working with SEN, PMLD, ASD or SEMH advantageous
