About the Product Developer job
The purpose of your role will be to develop R&D Innovation and renovation projects ensuring they are delivered on time and to planned strategy.
Key tasks
• Actively participate in the creation of food briefs with marketing and other stakeholders as well as ensuring with supply partners and other functions that new products are scaled up and implemented in line with briefs.
• Develop & deliver foods that meet consumer, brand and business needs ensuring that products are safe and produced to specified quality.
• Ensure standards are met in line with internal policies and regulatory requirements including sustainability compliance, suitability assessments and shelf-life requirements.
• Test and evaluate alternative raw materials to assure contingency / cost saving and attend factory trials and launches.
• Contribute to problem resolution and continuous improvement.

About You
The successful candidate should possess a food science degree with at least 6 years’ experience in the related sector with knowledge in nutrition and children’s foods and industry regulations with a strong background in processing of raw materials.
• Be creatively minded and a natural problem solver as well as recognition where change is required for improvement.
• A contributing team player with project leadership skills and knowledge and experience in, product development, nutrition, and food technology.
• Open to customer feedback and responds productively.
• Articulates features and benefits of ideas and an excellent timekeeper and works to deadlines effectively.

More details
The Product Developer job is for a 12-18month period and is based on the South Coast offering 3 days working remotely and 2 days on site and is paying up to £42,000 according to your experience. The candidate should be able to travel abroad on occasion when required.

The working week is Monday to Friday with 2 days on site, and 3 working remotely.
