Summary

** Please Note - Our organisation can not provide work sponsorship, please do not apply for this vacancy if you require this to work in the UK **

This vacancy is for a complex personal assistant to join our client’s support package to support him in his own bespoke accommodation. We will be your legal employer on behalf of our client and you will not be asked to support other clients. All of our contracts are for permanent positions with a 6 month probationary period. This position is for part-time hours consisting of 12 hours per week. Shifts will be between 7.30am and 7.30pm, 7 days a week and you must be flexible and willing to work alongside the existing team on a 2:1 basis.

Are you someone who is passionate about making a positive impact on the life of another whilst being caring and reliable? if so then you could be the person we're looking for to support our client as part of his nurse-led, small and dedicated care team.

Our client is a young adult with a cheeky sense of humour and needs support with all of his daily needs. You should be professional and meticulous but have a friendly, upbeat and positive outlook to ensure our client feels safe and happy. Although he is a 21yr old intelligent lad, he is small for his age. He loves music, crafts, animals and playing with his sensory toys.

You must be willing to work as part of a friendly team, in what is a friendly family home. Although it is not essential to drive as part of this role, our client lives where little public transport is available so you will need your own vehicle.

It is our client's/family's preference to have female care assistants who are non-smokers. You must also like dogs and have no allergies to them as the family has two.

Although our client requires complex care support, we will provide full training and shadowing shifts until you are confident with the duties - recruiting the right person is valued more than previous care experience.

You will be trained to CQC standards to meet the needs of the client. If you are 'already known to the client' and have care experience, this will be valued. Unless specified elsewhere, previous care experience is not essential.

Essential Requirements Identified for this Role:

- An enhanced DBS disclosure is required for this vacancy (expense to be met by HomeCareDirect)
- You must be comfortable around dogs with no allergies
- Prepared to commit to long term care for one client in a 'person-centred' way
