This vacancy is for a personal assistant to join our client’s support package to support them in their own home. We will be your legal employer on behalf of the client and you will not be asked to support other clients. All of our contracts are for permanent positions with a 6 month probationary period. This vacancy is for 2 part-time Personal Care Assistants in the Blackpool area. The shifts are 8pm to 8am (Waking Nights) with the option to cover the 8am to 8pm (Day Shifts) as necessary. The number of shifts available can vary and will be discussed at the interview stage. It is anticipated that there will be between 1 to 3 shifts per week and these will primarily be night shifts with the possibility of covering additional day shifts. Cover will be required for any sickness and holiday leave and could be to cover nights, days or weekends. The need for flexibility is therefore important.

Pay rate breakdown:

Weekday Day: 8am to 8pm = £14.00
Weekday Night: 8pm to 8am = £14.75
Weekend Day: 8am to 8pm = £14.50
Weekend Night: 8pm to 8am = £15

About the Client and Support Needed:

Our client is a non-verbal 20 year old man with complex disabilities and needs. He is lively, joyful and loves music and being silly. He is looking for a friendly person to join his care team who can keep him upbeat and smiling.

Full support is needed in our clients day to day life, with assistance for all needs including personal care. You will need to have experience of working with, or a good understanding of complex care needs. Drivers are preferred but this is not essential.

Training Provided Specific for This Client:

- Induction Training
- Safeguarding Adults
- Health and Safety
- First Aid
- Food Hygiene
- Client Specific Training Modules

You will be trained to CQC standards to meet the needs of the client. If you are 'already known to the client' and have care experience, this will be valued. Unless specified elsewhere, previous care experience is not essential.

Essential Requirements Identified for this Role:

- An enhanced DBS disclosure is required for this vacancy (expense to be met by HomeCareDirect)
- Experience of working with, or a good understanding of complex care needs
- Prepared to commit to long term care for one client in a 'person-centred' way
- Willing to be trained to CQC standards to meet the client's needs

- Committed to confidentiality and to treat the client with dignity and respect
