This vacancy is for a personal assistant to join our client’s support package to support them in their own home. We will be your legal employer on behalf of the client and you will not be asked to support other clients. All of our contracts are for permanent positions with a 6 month probationary period. This position is for 20hrs per week, days and times will be discussed at interview.

About the client and support needed:

I am looking for a dedicated, open-minded, easy-going, friendly personal care assistant to join the team that I am building. I live independently in my own home with my partner. I am young at heart and I love music. I am a DJ so it is vital that you have a passion for music too.

I want to be more active than I already am. I like going to the park and the beach and want support to go to more events so you will need to be sociable, fit and healthy to get me around. I am wheelchair bound but it doesn't stop me from living the best life I can. You will most definitely need a good sense of humour. I can be quite sarcastic at times so you need to not easily take offense. Come and have a laugh with us!

As a member of my caring team, you will be responsible for a wide range of tasks that can vary by the day so an amount of flexibility is required. Some of the main duties include:

- Administration of medication
- Moving and handling

- To ensure my holistic wellbeing is supported at all times, as needed
- This list is not exhaustive.

You will be trained to CQC standards to meet the needs of the client. If you are 'already known to the client' and have care experience, this will be valued. Unless specified elsewhere, previous care experience is not essential.

Essential Requirements Identified for this Role:

- An enhanced DBS disclosure is required for this vacancy (expense to be met by HomeCareDirect)
- Our client has a cat, therefore you should not have a cat allergy

- Be reliable / non-judgemental / caring / responsible / compassionate
- Committed to confidentiality and to treat the client with dignity and respect

Contractual Benefits:
