Summary

County Foods, a successful supplier of meat products, delicatessen and dry goods to the catering industry based in Poole, are currently recruiting an experienced butcher to work within our busy day shift production team. The role will predominantly involve cutting steaks to customers bespoke orders. As per training provided by County Foods.

WORKING HOURS: 40 - 48 hours per week, worked over 5 or 6 days, between Monday to Saturdays.
You will be required to work:
Mondays 4am – 1pm
Tuesday to Fridays 4am – 1:30pm
Saturdays 4am – 11am.
(If working 5 days, a day off will be allocated as agreed)

THE ROLE: As an experienced butcher you will prepare fresh and frozen meats to a high standard and to individual customer specification for supply to both retail and the catering trade. Reporting to either a Shift Supervisor or Manager, you will work on a butcher’s block in a traditional butchery, as part of a team of production personnel in a shift-based factory environment.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE: Will have previous experience as a butcher. You will be both talented and/or enthusiastic about butchery and ideally have previously worked in fresh meat production for catering establishments.
