We are looking for a Personal Assistant/Support worker to work with our male client in the Oakwood area of Derby.
• 5 hours per week
• £13.50 per hour
• Tuesday afternoon for 2 hours
• 3 hours on any other afternoon
**This is a Self Employed role- must have relevant Insurance**
Our male client, who has a learning disability, is looking for a Support Worker to assist him in his home and also in the community. Experience within a care setting or working/personal experience around Learning Disabilities would be advantageous, although not necessary.
Our client lives at home with his Mother, and needs to get more independent, starting new routines and activities.
We are looking for a mature individual, who will promote independence and enable our client to access the community, looking for new activities, visiting the farm, small walks, day classes, out for coffee.
Our client has been homebound for a while, using the stair lift and sofa walking, so the use of his mobility has deteriorated. You will work closely with our client to re-build his strength and confidence around the home, then outdoors.
You will be required to support with daily tasks around the home, meal preparation and other tasks- encouraging our client to get involved at a slow pace.
