Summary

Following the Michael Richards report, in which it was highlighted that diagnostic services should be delivered taking a new approach, providing more accessibility to people in the community away from acute settings, we at InHealth are excited to be partnering with the NHS to develop new Community Diagnostic Centres. Following this we are delighted to be delivering services from a new Community Diagnostic Centre in Torbay, from August 2024. Therefore, we are looking for a Clinical Assistant to join our Ultrasound team, in Torbay. Working in our new Community Diagnostic Centre, you will be providing the best patient care, assisting our Sonographers as they carry out Ultrasound scanning procedures. This is a full-time permanent position, working 5 days out of 7, Monday-Sunday, so weekend work will be required. Please be advised, we would be looking to start you in the role from the start of July, 2024. What you will do: Welcome patients in a professional, courteous manner, coordinating their arrival through to departure Escort patients to and from the clinical area as required, explaining the procedure in full and ensuring any questions or concerns are managed professionally Complete the patient's pre-scan data protection/consent form Assess and monitor the patient's condition after procedure, ensuring that any changes are reported to the relevant staff immediately Accurately entering all relevant patient data into the patient management system Dealing with telephone, direct and face to face enquiries About you: Excellent patient care and communication skills Friendly, outgoing professional personality A passion for delivering the highest level of customer service A good understanding of health and safety and infection control The ability to work independently and as part of a multi skilled team Strong administration and IT skills. Experience of working in a similar healthcare role is advantageous for this role, but the passion to learn and work in a busy healthcare, patient focused environment is just as important.
