Summary

We have a part-time job opportunity available for a Housekeeper to join the team within a local hotel and restaurant.

You will be joining a family-owned business who truly value and support their staff, has a great reputation and is committed to long term careers.

The hotel is an easy commute from Cockermouth, Whitehaven and Workington but, due to location and lack of public transport, you will need to have your own transport.

If relocating to the area, live-in is available temporarily while you find your own place.

Duties:
– Clean and sanitize guest rooms, bathrooms, and common areas according to established standards
– Change linens, make beds, and replenish towels and toiletries
– Vacuum carpets, sweep and mop floors
– Dust furniture, fixtures, and surfaces
– Empty trash receptacles and dispose of waste properly
– Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the supervisor
– Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and request restocking as needed
– Adhere to all health and safety regulations

Requirements:
– Previous experience in housekeeping or a similar role is preferred
– Knowledge of cleaning techniques and procedures
– Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
– Excellent attention to detail
– Good communication skills to interact with guests and team members

Skills:
– Hotel experience: Previous experience working in a hotel setting is preferred.
– Hospitality: A customer service-oriented mindset is essential for providing a positive guest experience.

Salary and benefits

£11.50 to £12.50 per hour (20 hours per week).
Permanent staff position.
28 days holiday per year pro rata
