Summary

About The Role
We are recruiting for a Caretaker to join our team to support in providing caretaking and minor maintenance within the building, working as part of a team to an agreed shift pattern to ensure premises and grounds support across the year.

You will be working Monday to Friday, 10:00 to 18:00, on a temporary full-time basis; 37.5 hours per week. You will also:
  • Support energy conservation measures
  • Be responsible for monitoring energy usage and supplying meter readings
  • Check the operation of the fire system on a regular basis, as directed by the PPM system
  • Carry out monthly fire door checks as part of the PPM schedule
  • Be responsible for noting and reporting repair requirements through the helpdesk
  • Undertake minor maintenance tasks (e.g., changing light bulbs and strips, fuses, plugs, unblocking drains, minor joinery, etc)
  • Move furniture and equipment and clean designated areas like litter bins, gutters, gullies, and traps, removing graffiti, and consumables replenishment.

To be successful in the role, you will need:

  • To be able to undertake basic maintenance tasks ie plumbing, identifying leaks, minor joinery tasks, fixing door handles,
  • Experience in a similar role would be preferable although training will be given where appropriate.
