Summary
To provide a qualified specialist practitioner (clinical /counselling/health) psychology service to clients of the Diabetes and Long-term conditions teams and other teams when necessary or appropriate: providing psychological assessment and therapy at the same time as offering advice and consultation on clients psychological care to non-psychologist colleagues and to other, non professional carers, working autonomously within professional guidelines and the overall framework of the teams policies and procedures. To utilise research skills for audit, policy and service development and research within the area served by the team/service. To contribute to the development of the service including the routine collection of outcome data as required by the service. It will be a requirement of this role to participate in job planning which forms a key part of the working practices of qualified psychological therapists.
