Summary
To work as an autonomous practitioner providing advanced physiotherapy assessment and management to a specific, highly specialised clinical caseload that frequently have complex and/or chronic conditions, without supervision; interpreting and analysing clinical and non-clinical data to form accurate diagnoses and prognoses To develop comprehensive management and treatment plans, utilising a wide range of treatment skills to formulate a specialised empowering and progressive programme of care; communicating with other members of the MDT, referring practitioners, relatives and carers on the best course of intervention To work as an APP, assess and manage patients, who frequently present with complex conditions, in Orthopaedic outpatient clinics after direct referral from their General Practitioner. This involves advanced clinical reasoning skills, requesting of investigations to assist in the formulation of a diagnosis whilst working unsupervised To work as an FCP, assessing and managing patients who previously would have seen their GP, This involves advanced clinical reasoning skills, requesting of investigations to assist in the formulation of a diagnosis whilst working unsupervised and managing the care pathway.
