SALARY: £17-£19.10 per hour dependant on experience

We are looking for nurses for an 67 bedded home specialising in Care for the elderly, dementia and nursing. You will work alongside the Clinical Service Manager to ensure the home is run to the highest standards of professional and clinical practice.

Examples of employment tasks:

Ensure that comprehensive, individualised care plans are in place and are regularly reviewed and evaluated in accordance with the NMC guidelines and company policy;

Assist and to deal with emergencies and pre-planned treatment of patients;

Manage own work load;

Maintain ongoing assessment and review of all patients;

Administer drugs and medicines;

Apply surgical dressings and give other forms of treatment;

Plan duty rotas and organises and direct the work and training;

Advise on nursing care, disease prevention, nutrition, etc;

Liaises with management and senior nurses to ensure effective communication for the benefit of the patients and their families;

Plan, manage, provide and evaluate nursing care services for patients, supervise the implementation of nursing care plans.

Skills Required for the Role:

· Current registration and PIN number with NMC;

· Knowledge of Community Care Act, Mental Health Act and Mental Capacity Act;

· Prior experience in the care of the elderly and/or mentally ill;

· Ability to communicate effectively at all levels;

· Ability to assist in the management of an effective multi-disciplinary team and to be a team leader and player;

· Satisfactory enhanced DBS Check and where applicable a check against the DBS First List
