Summary

Carbon60 are proud to be partnering with Lufthansa Technik Landing Gear Services to recruit for a Trainee Hydraulic Technician within the Hydraulics department. Lufthansa Technik are a global leading provider of maintenance, repair, and overhaul services for the civil aviation industry.

This Trainee Hydraulic Technician position is on a permanent basis and has become available due to continued growth and expansion. In this role, you will assist the department for carrying out work required, Test, Repair & Overhaul of Civil Aircraft Landing Gear Hydraulics to a high quality standard.


Role Responsibilities will include:

  • Cleaning, creating paperwork, Inspect, Disassembly, Assembly, Testing and Final assembly of hydraulic units and general hydraulics. Ensuring quality standards are met on first time basis & in a timely manner.

Other associated duties involve:

  • All duties shall be undertaken in compliance with Safety and Environmental Regulations and Company Procedures.
  • An awareness and understanding of responsibilities outlined in the Company's environmental
  • Ability to read CMMs.
  • Ability to use measuring equipment & work out torque values.
  • Liaison with associated departments
  • Work to Production priority lists - ASPEN, Milestone dates as provided by Production Control.


Skills and Experience required:

  • Illustrate previous knowledge and experience working within an engineering facility.
  • Good knowledge, awareness and understanding of PPE.
  • Previous experience with Hydraulics/Mechanical would be desirable, but not essential.
  • Desirable for the applicant to have worked within the aviation environment (not essential).
  • Good communication skills as need to be able to communicate with staff on business and other issues that affect the business.
  • Willingness to learn new skills.
  • Good problem solver.
  • Educated to at least GCSE level.
  • Able to communicate fluently in written and spoken English.
