Salary: £90.005 per annum (£94,505 is achieved after 12 months successful performance in the role)
Working Hours: 35 hours per week.
Working Pattern: Hybrid

The difference you will make as the Head of Fire Risk Management

In this role you will be the responsible person under the Fire safety order you will Lead strategic direction and deliver a proportionate risk-based approach to fire safety across a national portfolio with responsibility for the day-to-day management of national team responsible for the procurement, contract management of passive and active fire precautions resulting from in-house fire risk assessment and fire door inspections, management of servicing, repairs, maintenance and improvement to fire safety systems and development of investment plans to support business plan. The role will have responsibility for developing Primary authority partnership and liaison and communication with local fire & rescue service and working with key stakeholders externally and internally to address management failures impacting safety of customers. Support head of communication on proactive and reactive communication with customers around fire safety. Performance monitoring, Assurance and Governance and regulatory reporting.

About you

We are looking for someone with:

  • EQF level 3-4 i.e. Diploma in Fire Safety, Asset Compliance, Passive Fire Protection or or NEBOSH Fire Certificate/Diploma or Fire Risk Assessment or equivalent.
  • Membership of Third-Party Accreditation Scheme i.e., institute of fire engineers MIFE or IFE at GIFireE or above, similar memberships such as RICS (Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors), IFSM or CIOB or equivalent working experience
  • Extensive experience of managing and improving teamwork and cooperation between various parts of a business and working collaboratively, relationship building skills and effective stakeholder management, to deliver objectives. Excellent communication and the ability to successfully persuade and influence others.
