Summary

Your new company
You will be joining a national engineering design company with a nuclear sector focus. They are part of a larger energy company with a turnover of €14 billion, which has allowed them to grow in an exciting but secure manner. They are currently recruiting for Principal EC&I Engineer with scope to progress to engineering manager. The ideal candidate will have EC&I experience within the nuclear sector but open to other sectors.
Your new role

  • Establishing customer requirements and production of user requirement and technical specifications.
  • Allocating resources appropriate to their skills, experience and qualifications to execute engineering and design activities.
  • Coordinating and supervising engineers and designers, and providing technical guidance in the planning and execution of engineering and design activities.
  • Ensuring the technical quality of all engineering design deliverables and applied processes are undertaken in accordance with relevant company procedures.
  • Conducting engineering studies, investigations, and producing reports.
  • Ensuring projects are completed in a cost-effective and timely manner, in accordance with project budgets and programmes.
  • Maintaining awareness of technological developments and industry trends.


What you\'ll need to succeed

  • Ideally a number of years working in roles where knowledge of engineering was a key attribute.
  • Ideally a number of years working within a regulated and quality assured system (preferably nuclear) in roles reliant upon professional engineering judgement.
  • Ideally some experience of working in a position where design was a major part of the role.
  • Expertise demonstrable in one or more specific specialist areas relevant to the engineering discipline with a track record of successful application of specialist knowledge or skills.
  • Ability to provide leadership in a key area within an engineering function and act as a custodian of resource and expertise.
  • Engineering experience demonstrating a record of successful delivery, including positions influencing professional engineers in the definition, implementation and delivery of engineering work packages.
  • Ability to provide strategic guidance based on knowledge and experience of projects across a portfolio to inform and direct projects and programmes.
